THE YAMPA VALLEY BOYS BY THE NUMBERS:
The Eric May BandNashville Bound! The Eric May Band, from Gillette, WY, has been invited to perform in Nashville, TN in a showcase of bands for the Country Music Radio Broadcasters Association annual seminar on February 25th, 2010. The showcase that the band will perform at will be in front of record label Scouts and Executives, country music radio DJ's, Program Directors, General Managers and Owners from across the country.
When the band gets the chance to perform and is possibly picked up by a record label, this could launch not only the career that the band wants, but a lifelong dream of the members of The Eric May Band - Eric May, Sean George, Zach Dunham and Mike Norris. More about the Eric May Band [+][–] The band formed when Eric May moved to Gillette, WY from Denver, CO in late 2004. Armed with just his voice and a guitar, he set out to assemble what has now become his life: The Eric May Band In early 2005, the band had only practiced a few times in a living room. They heard of an event in Casper, WY called "Battle of the Bands". This sparked interest and the fire that would lead them to where they are today. They competed and won! The prize, playing the Casper Events Center for approximately 7,000 people! The band was a hit and created a media frenzy. The Eric May Band has come a long way since winning the "Battle of the Bands". They have opened for acts such as FireHouse, Darryl Worley, Warrant, April Wine and BJ Thomas. After performing hundreds of shows, the band decided it was time to take it to the next level and start writing their own material. It was to nobody's surprise, the music that had been written was in high demand by fans and received radio airplay. The band has now written their first album and is currently in the studio. The future for this band? Nobody knows. But the mindset, dedication and talent will prove they have what it takes to be the next main stream "must see" band. The Great American Petting ZooOurs is a very different kind of petting zoo. There are absolutely no barriers once inside the enclosure. All of the animals run freely with the public, and the public loves it! Each and every one of our friendly animals is hand-raised at our farm in Oregon.
The zoo contains a wide variety of animals including llamas, Fallow Deer, Bennett Wallabies, African Pygmy Goats, assorted exotic and domestic goats and sheep, Vietnamese Potbellied Pigs, Bantam Chickens, miniature Sicilian Donkeys, miniature Call Ducks, and baby animals born all year long. More about the Great American Petting Zoo [+][–] We specially train our staff in basic veterinary care, animal husbandry, and public relations. The petting zoo and the surrounding area are kept immaculately clean at all times. They wear colorful uniforms and name tags and are friendly, patient, and eager to answer any questions. We've found that it is our personal touch that adds to the public's experience. The Great American Petting Zoo has been providing wholesome family entertainment to America since 1984.
