Wyoming State Fair Board to Meet July 30

The Wyoming State Fair Board will meet Tuesday, July 30, 2019 in Douglas, Wyoming.

The meeting will take place on the Wyoming State Fairgrounds in the Ag Hall Conference Room at 10:30 am. During the meeting, the board will review the Manager’s personnel decision authority and the Manager’s financial authority, hear subcommittee reports from the State Fair Operations, Finance/Budget, Personnel and Rules, Facility, Marketing/Promotion/Planning Events, and Endowment subcommittees. Along with this, they will hear a report from the Wyoming State Fair Interim Manager on current items and an update on building & grounds. Finally, they will address any other business as needed and provide an opportunity for public comment. Prior to adjournment, there will be an executive session.

Times are tentative and subject to change without notice.  If the Board finishes one topic they will proceed to the next topic.

Local rodeo entries being accepted by State Fair

107th Wyoming State Fair and Rodeo is accepting local entries from Wyoming cowboys and cowgirls to participate in the 2019 PRCA Rodeo. Rodeo performances are scheduled for August 16 at the State Fairgrounds. Contestants must be entered by August 1, 2019 at 2:00 pm.

All Wyoming residents 18 years and older are eligible to compete in the State Fair Rodeo. Seven traditional rodeo events are offered (bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, tie down roping, team roping, steer wrestling, steer roping and girls barrel racing). Contestants must complete proof of insurance and age, entry and liability release forms by 2:00 P.M. on August 1, 2019. Contestants may enter by contacting the Wyoming State Fair, P.O. Box 10, Douglas, WY 82633 or by calling (307)358-2398.
